Meeting in Alta in November was very successful. We were well received and got to meet up with the others and start some planning. We also got to go on a skiing trip (at least Magnus' first trip this season). Lots of rocks on Helligfjell, but doesn't matter when you got some old skis.... Went a trip to Låven as well, a nice cabin down by the sea. however, it was not enough snow to go skiing there.
I am currently having Fischer Air Carbon Hans Kammerlander 03/04 (?), Fischer Big Stix 8.6 with Cobra R8 and my new skis K2 Coomba with NTN bindings and the Crispi Evo boots. It was really weird trying them. In good Bjørn Michaelsen style I mounted my headlamp on my helmet and set out in the polar night and failed to turn! The boots, and the bindings were way too stiff. I consider to switch the springs (middle stiff - the blue ones) into the soft ones. Anyway, I expect some adjustments and a bit more practice will give results. Even though right now it feels like I really can't do shit on skis....I have great faith in NTN bindings!
The accommodation in Davos seems to be pretty much set. I am receiving reports about great conditions in Davos at the moment....Setting off to Davos January 5th, returning to Norway February 5th and then zipping off to Calgary the next day! March 12th I am back to Norway again and will eventually meet up in Alta again.
Work and more work awaits before I can celebrate Christmas....
